About

My name is Lantz Rudolph and am a former Army Captain who has a passion for sports with an educational background in sports management. During my time in the military, I’ve experienced many different leadership challenges and opportunities to shape my leadership philosophy. My time in the military allowed me to encounter people from all over the world and experience vastly different cultures through my deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and South Korea.

I grew up playing sports year-round throughout my childhood but my athletic career ended at the high school level. I never lost my passion for sports, so after my military career I decided to get involved in the business side of sports.

Sports provides a lot of interesting case studies for leadership principles because we get to see those dynamics play out on the field/court of play over the course of a season. There are many people in the sports industry and on the outside looking who think they know what effective leadership looks like but don’t have the bonafides to back up their words.

This site is meant to explore recent sports events through the prism of my own leadership experiences, philosophy, and principles, as well as through the view of lessons learned through the experiences of respected leaders inside and outside of sports.
